This very special vaisnavi would be doing parikram around Radha Kund and Shyama Kund every day with a pot of Tulasi on her head, during the month of Kartika.
One ekadasi day Kartika 2001, she told her son Lalita Madhava: "Today I'm going to leave this world".
She called for her husband, her daughter and her son, Lalita Madhava. She told the brother and sister to hold hands and made Lalita Madhava promise to take care of his sister. She asked him to wash the feet of his father and her mother in law, and wanted to drink it.
Then Subhadra Mataja asked to take one last picture of her and her children. Yes indeed, that is the picture posted above.
She asked all of them to have bhajan, during which she left her body.
To leave the body during Kartika, and on ekadasi is considered to be very auspicious.
