Hare Krsna. All glories to my Spiritual Master, His Divine Grace, A. C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, by whose mercy I have heard something about the name and glories of Srimati Radharani. Guru is a manifestation of Srimati Radharani's mercy, and by Guru's grace, one can put his/her head at the Lotus Feet of Srimati Radharani. It is through Her mercy that one can come to Krsna.
All glories to Srimate Radharani Who is the Queen of Vrndavan. By Her love for Krsna and His devotees She greatly pleases Them.
In "Nectar of Devotion" pg 175, Srila Prabhupada writes, "A person who is unable to bear another'sdistress is called compassionate...Actually, because Krsna is the Supreme Personality of Godhead, it is very difficult to approach Him. But the devotees, taking advantage of His compassionate nature, which is represented by Radharani, always pray to Radharani for Krsna's compassion."
Who am I to speak anything about Srimati Radharani, the personified compassion of Krsna? Devotees first approach Srimati Radharani for Her mercy because upon receiving Her attention, they are guaranteed the mercy of Krsna. Srimati Radharani speaks on behalf of the devotee, and Krsna listens. So great is Her love for Krsna that Krsna Himself, mystified by Her love, becomes compelled to accept Her mood to experience and understand Her bhava. It is also in this acceptance (taking of this mood), that Krsna exhibits His most
compassionate feature and form of Lord Caitanya Mahaprabhu, descending to this material realm to invite all of the jivas to come to Goloka Vrndavan to accept their eternal forms to engage in loving service to the Divine Couple.
No one's love for Krsna can compare to that felt and exhibited by Srimati Radharani, Whose name appears in hidden form in the Srimad Bhagvatam. So much is the love of Srimati Radharani for Krsna, that while sitting on the lap of Krsna, overwhelmed with so much love, She is thinking "Where is Krsna?," and being separated from Krsna, Srimati Radhika is hugging the Tamal tree, thinking it to be Krsna. Why Sukadev Goswami could not speak Her name directly is due to His intense love for Srimati Radhika. Sukadev Goswami, originally a favorite parrot of Srimati Radhika, (and to whom Srimati Radharani would always speak "Krsna Krsna," getting her parrot to repeat), was ordered by Krsna to stay on this earth planet and speak the Bhagavatam after Radha and Krsna were to leave this material realm. Knowing that Maharaj Pariksit had only seven days to hear, Sukadev Goswami knew that if he was to utter the name of his worshippable Srimati, he would go into a trance from which he would not be able to emerge, and thus, would not be able to complete the speaking of the Bhagavatam. So it is for this reason there is no direct mention of Srimati Radharani's name in this Bhagavata Purana. For those whose hearts are overwhelmed with Krsna Prema, they can see Srimati Radharani's name in every sloka.
Srimad Bhagavatam 10.30.28
anayaradhito nunam bhagavan harir isvarah
yan no vihaya govindah prito yam anayad rahah
anaya - by Her; aradhitah - perfectly worshipped; nunam - certainly; bhagavan - the Personality of Godhead; harih - Lord Krsna; isvarah - the supreme controller; yat - inasmuch; nah - us; vihaya - rejecting; govindah - Lord Govinda; pritah - pleased; yam - whom; anayat - led; rahah - secluded place.
"Certainly this particular gopi has perfectly worshipped the all-powerful Personality of Godhead, Govinda, since He was so pleased with Her that He abandoned the rest of us and brought Her to a secluded place."
And from CC Adi 4.87
krsna-vancha-purti-rupa kare aradhane
ataeva radhika nama purane vakhane
Her worship (aradhana) consists of fulfilling the desires of Lord Krsna. Therefore the Puranas call Her Radhika.
Purport
The name Radha is derived from the root word aradhana, which means "worship." The personality who excels all in worshiping Krsna may therefore be called Radhika, the greatest servitor.
Fifteen days after Krsna's birth, on the eighth day of the waning moon (ashtami), Srimati Radharani made Her appearance. Srimati Radharani was found in the whorl of a lotus flower by King Vrsabhanu near the village of Varsana, a few miles away from Nandagoan. The most beautiful female child ever to be seen, there was one "imperfection:" The eyes of the child were closed, and remained that way. How could the creator make such a beautiful child, yet keep Her eyes closed with no opening of them? WHAT was WRONG? So filled with anxiety - completely heartstruck - over over this matter were the beautiful Kirtida and King Vrsabhanu, but no one had any answers for them.
Finally, after some weeks, Mother Yasoda went to see her friend, Kirtida, to congratulate her, and to see her beautiful new daughter. While the two ladies were talking, baby Krsna crawled to the crib, where the small female child lay. Holding onto the bars of the crib, Krsna pulled Himself up and looked in. It was then that the small baby first opened Her eyes to see the beautiful Syamasundar, Her beloved. Until that time Her eyes were closed.
Foolish people equate the loving pastimes of Sri Sri Radha-Krsna to be like that of the ordinary mundane affairs between conditioned males and females. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Srimati Radharani is Krsna's pleasure potency: Radha krsna pranaya vikrtir hladini saktih.
In CC Adi 1.5 it is said "The loving affairs of Sri Radha and Krishna are transcendental manifestations of the Lord's internal pleasure-giving potency. Although Radha and Krishna are one in Their identity, They separated Themselves eternally".
Srimati Radharani's trancendental form is described:
"Srimati Radharani is expert in all the fine arts and Her transcendental form is like an ocean of nectar. Her splendid bodily luster is like the yellow pigment gorocana, molten gold, or stationary lightning. She wears wonderfully beautiful blue garments and She is decorated with various pearls and flowers.
"She is very beautiful and She has long nicely braided hair. She is decorated with a garland of flowers and a beautiful pearl necklace. Her splendid forehead is decorated with the red pigment sindur and with beautiful locks of curling hair.
"Decorated with blue bangles, Her arms have defeated Cupid's staff with their beauty. Decorated with black mascara and reaching back almost to Her ears, Srimati Radharani's lotus eyes are the most beautiful in all the three planetary systems. Her nose is as beautiful as a sesame flower and it is nicely decorated with a pearl. She is anointed with various perfumes. She is splendidly beautiful.
"Her ears are decorated with wonderful earings and Her nectarean lips defeat the red lotus flowers. Her teeth are like a row of pearls and Her tongue is very beautiful. Decorated with a nectarean smile of pure love for Krsna, Her beautiful face is as splendid as millions of moons.
"The beauty of Her chin has defeated and bewildered the demigod Cupid. Decorated with a drop of musk, Her chin appears like a golden lotus flower with a bumblebee. Bearing all the marks of wonderful beauty, Her neck is decorated with a string of pearls. Her neck, back and sides are enchantingly beautiful.
"Her beautiful breasts are like two splendid waterpots covered with a bodice and decorated with a necklace of pearls. Her beautiful enchanting arms are decorated with jeweled armlets. Her arms are also decorated with jeweled bracelets and other kinds of jeweled ornaments. Her hands are like two red lotus flowers illuminated by the series of moons that are Her fingernails
"Srimati Radharani's hands are decorated with many auspicious markings such as the signs of the bumblebee, lotus, crescent moon, earring, parasol, sacrificial post, conchshell, tree, flower, camara and svastika. These auspicious marks are manifest in various ways on Srimati Radharani's lotus hands. Her splendidly beautiful fingers are also decorated with jeweled rings.
"Charming, full of sweet nectar and decorated with a deep navel, Srimati Radharani's beautiful waist enchants the three worlds. Her sloping hips lead to Her charmingly beautiful slender waist, which is bound by a creeper of three beautiful folds of skin and decorated with a sash of tinkling bells.
"As beautiful as two exquisite plantain trees, Her thighs enchant the mind of Cupid. Her beautiful knees are like two reservoirs filled with the nectar of various transcendental pastimes. Her beautiful lotus feet are decorated with jeweled ankle-bells and Her toes with toe rings as beautiful as the treasure ofVaruna. The auspicious markings on Srimati Radharani's lotus feet include the signs of the conchshell, moon, elephant, barleycorn, rod for controlling elephants, chariot flag, small drum, svastika and fish."
Srimati Radharani is fifteen years old and full of the luster of youth.
"When Srimati Radharani smiles, waves of joy overtake Her cheeks, and Her arched eyebrows dance like the bow of Cupid. Her glance is so enchanting that it is like a dancing bumblebee, moving unsteadily due to intoxication. That bee has bitten the whorl of My heart." (Vidagdha-madhava 2.51)
